VALENTINO ROSSI 2011
Ducati and Valentino Rossi have signed a two year agreement for the nine-times World Champion to race with the “Rossa” of Borgo Panigale in the Ducati MotoGP Team from 2011.
The arrival of Valentino in Ducati opens a new and exciting chapter in the Italian factory’s sporting history and, indeed, of the whole MotoGP Championship. The opportunity of lining-up such an extraordinary rider and character is considered by Ducati to be a huge value to the whole Ducati MotoGP project.
NEW YAMAHA 2011 MOTOGP
Yamaha Team is preparing for a new structure of his team to face the MotoGP 2011. After he resigned after Valentino Rossi Valencia GP last weekend, the Japanese manufacturer is directly preparing a new composition and direct them to announce it.
Rookie of the Year 2010 Ben Spies MotoGP, Rossi has been filling the place. Together with the United States rider who, for the former world superbike champion, there is Tom Houseworth who became boss of his crew, where they were inseparable since 2002.
Besides Houseworth, Spies crew also includes Gregory Wood (mechanic for Team Yamaha Tech3 2010), Jurij Pellegrini (mechanic from Team Yamaha World Superbike 2009) and mechanical YMR Mattia Bonera. Then, Data Engineer Erkki Olivier Boutron Siukola and mechanical equip the team, and they will begin work with Yamaha in January 2011.
Kubu Jorge Lorenzo has not changed. Yamaha is still confident with the performance of the team that successfully brought the Spanish rider in the MotoGP world champion 2010.
But there is a change in the management of Yamaha Factory Racing Team for 2011. New team director and team manager Massimo Meregalli now, Wilco Zeelenberg, sharing responsibility for management tasks the whole team.
During race weekend, Zeelenberg will remain focused as a crew manager Lorenzo, while Meregalli will take a similar role for Spies and his crew.
